HealthifyMe Data indicates that Delhi is number three, after Arunachal Pradesh and Goa, among states that have a high fat consumption index, according to the ideal PFC (Protein:Fat:Consumption) which is 20:30:50.

Among top eight cities, Delhi’s fat consumption is as high as (~29.8%) putting it on top of the list.

The city’s high fat intake is a result of the staple diet comprising of parathas, samosas and chola bhatura.

Such high levels of fat consumption endangers the residents of Delhi to hypertension and diabetes thus leading to heart disease making it a rising concern for the city.
