It’s the new buzzword, the cool kid on the block, the one all other companies are calling over to hang out with. But really, why does your organization need a workplace wellness program? You’ve already provided insurance for all your employees! Now, isn’t it their responsibility to take care of themselves? Especially, their health? Yes, it most certainly is. And, that’s where we step in.

Here are five reasons why you need a workplace wellness program!

  1. Happy & Engaged Workforce

Employees who are fit and healthy tend to be happier and more engaged. Working out releases endorphins, hormones that make one feel ‘euphoric’. Endorphins are known to keep stress in check, ward off anxiety, boost self-esteem and improve sleep patterns, leading to a happier and more engaged workforce.

  1. Lower Expense on Healthcare

Healthier employees are less susceptible to lifestyle disorders that are becoming more common in this day and age. Combating hypertension, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and PCOS among others by adopting a more balanced, healthy lifestyle can bring down health insurance premia quantifiably in the long-term, thereby impacting the company’s healthcare expense.

  1. Reduced Absenteeism

Employees who eat better and exercise often develop better immunity. With a regulated sleep cycle, exhaustion and stress levels tend to normalize as well. This essentially means employees fall sick less often. The impact on the workplace is twofold – first, employees taking fewer sick leaves and second, fewer employees suffering from colds, cough and the common flu.

4. Increased Productivity

Absenteeism is only a part of the problem employers face today; growing presenteeism may be a bigger problem in your organization than you think. Employees spending long hours at work, physically, while being mentally absent, unwell, or stressed results in lower productivity and half-hearted work. However, employees who lead a healthy and active lifestyle have proven to be far more efficient.

  1. An Invested Employer

A good wellness program impresses upon employees the authenticity and sincerity of the organization’s concern for their wellbeing. It means going beyond health check-ups and insurance to provide a comprehensive and sustainable wellness program, not a piecemeal fitness class once a quarter. Boosted employee morale and a happy work environment is one of those intangibles that almost all organizations strive for, often without a clear direction, and we’re here to do just that with an impactful and engaging wellness program for your employees.

What are GLP-1 peptides?

They are small sequences of amino acids that are secreted from cells in the small intestine and the brain. They work as physiological regulators of appetite and food intake – basically they transmit the message that the stomach is full to the brain.
