Wanna get healthier, here are five basic must-dos…

Eat healthy
Food = energy. A balanced diet is about eating all the nutrients you need in the right proportions.
A nutritious diet can ward off diseases, keep your weight under check, improve your complexion and even your emotional state.

Do not smoke
We all know the ills of smoking. But we’ll reiterate it for you here. Smoking and other tobacco products not only puts you at risk of lung, mouth and throat cancer, it affects every single organ in your body.
So, quit smoking today.

Exercise regularly
It can be a sport of your choice, dancing, yoga, playing with your kids, or taking your dog for a walk. A good 30-minute workout can go a long way to rescue you from stress, diabetes, blood pressure and other cardiac problems. Healthy muscles, bones and joints, and lower anxiety are other pluses.

Get a minimum of 5 hours of sleep
Don’t skimp on sleep, period! Adequate sleep can benefit your mind, heart, weight, complexion and so much more.

Remember, it is also essential to have a consistent sleep pattern, both in duration and timings.

Get regular health checkups
Regular health checks is just like getting your car serviced before it breaks down.

The aim of a health screening is to help find, prevent or lessen the effect of disease.

They are small sequences of amino acids that are secreted from cells in the small intestine and the brain. They work as physiological regulators of appetite and food intake – basically they transmit the message that the stomach is full to the brain.

One response to “Which five things should I do to get healthier?”

  1. Do you have a reference for 5 hours of sleep? Everywhere else I have read it is minimum 7-8 hours of sleep. I think 5 hours is way too less for a healthy life style. Nice article though!
